In KALIFORNISTAN this one is still rostered. I have a Chiappa and Chiappa/Citadel, they are both fine. I bought one of these used, only to find out previous owner though he was a gunsmith. He ruined it. Shop I worked in had the Sig Sauer version made by same manufacturer but it's not on roster. My local shop could not get this for me, so with his blessing I ordered this from Rifle Gear. When brand new a full mag didn't pick up second round, when loaded with 9 cycling was perfect. After a few hundred rounds magazines eased up and worked fine. It does have a magazine drop safety (no mag no pop), and another part in slide that is Kalifornia specific, so it cost more than the standard model. I didn't expect great things from this pistol, but it is really fun and I can hit a paper plate out to 25 yards just fine. I plan on starting grandkids out with this to get them acclimated. It didn't care for CCI (stovepipes) but Federal and Sorpion worked very well. If you have been looking for this model in the 'PEOPLES REPUBLIK of KALIFORNIA' this may be the only place to get the best deal. The Italian guns are ok, but this is far superior.
