This magazine lock kit is designed for the HK MP5/G3, 91, 93 Series of rifles from Bobcat, Cetme, Coharie, Vector, and Vulcan and works with either polymer or metal lower receivers. This fixed-magazine lock kit allows the operator to drop the magazine through the use of a tool such as a bullet tip.
The magazine lock cage is milled (not mold injected nor cast) from a solid block of Black Delrin Polymer. The reason for choosing this material versus aluminum or metal is due to the fact that minor sanding or fitting may be required to install this product properly. A small application of Armorall or other vinyl shine products will return the lock to it's natural black finish (avoid any type of acetone based cleaners).
This magazine lock has not been approved by the Californa DOJ.
This magazine lock is designed to conform to the law as written in CA Penal Code 978.20(a) which defines: "detachable magazine" means any ammunition feeding device that can be removed readily from the firearm with neither disassembly of the firearm action nor use of a tool being required. "A bullet or ammunition cartridge is considered a tool."
