The AR Raddlock provides a unique two position operation making it one of the most flexible designs available for use on California legal AR style rifles, Sig 556, Robinson Arms XCR, or any rifle that utilizes a standard AR style magazine release button.  The AR Raddlock includes non-slip grooves, similar to the standard AR magazine release button, and is available in your choice of four colors: Black, Red, Flat Dark Earth or Olive Drab

The new Gen-XT includes a 6-32 Nylon Set Screw designed to keep tension on the internal screw cap. This will minimize the chance of the screw cap from rocking loose in Mode 1 or Mode 2 operations. However, a proper periodic maintenance check is still highly recommended. The tension is preset at the factory, but you can make fine adjustments with the included 1/16" allen wrench. Constructed from 6061 aircraft aluminum with hard coat anodizing.
  • Position one acts in the same way as any of the other bullet button style locks in that the magazine can only be removed with the use of a tool.
  • Position two allows the AR Raddlock to be activated with a press of the finger, just like a standard magazine release button.  Position two is perfect for shooting outside of California or when using a .22 rimfire upper.  Never use position two inside California with a centerfire upper and any banned features installed on your rifle.  Doing so would construct a banned assault weapon and is punishable by law.

This Lock Kit has Not been approved by CA DOJ.  This Magazine Lock has been designed to conform to the law as written in CA Penal Code § 12276.1 (a) which defined "detachable magazine" means any ammunition feeding device that can be removed readily from the firearm with neither disassembly of the firearm action nor use of a tool being required. Title 11 CCR § 5469 (a) "A Bullet or Ammunition cartridge is considered a tool."

This product is awesome, it works as intended and installs quickly and easily. One thing that I would do to improve it is make the tolerances between the components of the inner screwing mechanism tighter. When I am out of state and have it in "sane" mode it tends to walk out with each mag change. The first time this happened my mag dropped unexpectedly. Now I tighten it often whenever using it in 'sane' mode. In California though it works great, locks up tight in "insane" mode. Nothing more dangerous than not being able to change out a mag in an emergency situation!

Seems cool. Haven't had the chance to use it yet because I'm still mid build. But I had a similar problem to some others I've seen. Wont fit on a mega billet ambi lower. It's a quick fix with a bench grinder to shave off the 2 o'clock tab and it ends up tucked away so you cant see the grind marks. But it was a few moments worth of "Well. Sh!t!?!" head scratching before I went that route. Didn't slow me down too much, but it would have been nice to know before hand. If I didn't have the bench grinder I would have been S.O.L.

I ordered two of these, one to use with a New Frontier lower. After several attempts I realized its just not going to fit properly so I emailed to find out why. "The hole cut for the magazine release is tapered preventing the Raddlock housing from fitting properly/flush. In order to make this function properly it would require modification to your lower receiver." Would be nice to know this in advance. returned it and purchased a standard bullet button.

The cream of the crop. You get the best of both worlds if you happen to Live in Kommunist Kalifornia. It's not so bad when you don't have to install a completely new BB to shoot like a free man in another state. Highly recommended!

A bit pricey but worth every penny. Put this on my colt and couldn't be happier. If SHTF, the BB will suck. This is a great compromise and I can take it out of state without any issues.

A great product to stay "LEGAL" when you need to be, and "questionable" when no one is around. Easy to install and operate.

My old original BB sucked. At times it came loose causing serious problems on my AR15. Decided to give the Raddlock AR bullet button a try and I am very satisfied with it. Easy installation as well. I highly recommend to purchase the Raddlock Tool w/lanyard with the Raddlock BB. Using the tip of the bullet might mar the slot screw inside the BB.
