The MUR is a rigid MilSpec flat-top upper receiver made to fit all AR15/M16/M4 rifles and carbines.  The MUR 1A includes a forward assist and a shell deflector.

The MUR was developed to give the customer a MilSpec correct upper receiver with a thicker wall making the MUR upper receiver a more rigid platform. A more rigid upper receiver will increase accuracy and reliability while extending the life of interfacing components such as the bolt carrier group and barrel assembly.

The main benefit of the MUR is it's dimensionally correct. Unfortunately, with the current war effort, a number of AR suppliers are rushing through production, bypassing critical dimensions which will either make or break the reliability and accuracy of the weapon. With the existence of the MUR, you'll receive the best and highest quality upper receiver available on the market today.

All MURs feature a MilStd-1913 scope mounting rail and come equipped with an Ejection-Port, Dust Cover Door.

Installation and legal note: The installation and the assembly on the MUR should be performed by a qualified gunsmith and/or certified armorer.

Great upper it has no wobble with my noveske lower.. the only thing that I did not like was parts of my upper have like bubble marks from when it was cast. But you really have to stare at it hard to notice..

Don't waste your money. I did and mine cracked during barrel install at between 50-55ft/lbs using a Brownell's vice block. When I returned it to Vltor they refused to stand behind it and started reaching for reasons and theorys as to why it was my fault. Now I have a $200 paperweight and an incomplete rifle. To add insult to injury the offered to "help me out" by selling me another one, I declined due to difficulty rewarding failure. The only thing I'm thankful for is that it failed on the bench and not in the field or the range where it would've injured me or someone else.

Awesome design, very detailed, very clean... Matching all vltor on my build so far looking sharp! Very tight fit at pivit pin but not a bad thing, upper lines up perfectly with lower ( On S&W M&P15)no play inbetween! Highly recommend this upper and will defenitely buy another!
