Nighthawk Custom takes a classic Colt 1911 Government and gives it a full modern upgrade, while retaining its classic looks. It features an all new trigger system with a match grade, short trigger, fully machined disconnector, sear, hammer strut and pin. The Colt Series 70 system has been outfitted with a retro hammer, Nighthawk beavertail grip safety, mainspring housing and match grade barrel. The slide has been equipped with a machined retro rear sight and a front sight with 14k gold bead. Addition upgrades include an ultra high cut trigger guard, matching vertical serrations on both the front strap and mainspring housing.

The feedramp has been machined to proper dimensions then polished while the barrel is throated, chamber reamed, tuned and polished. A Nighthawk Custom 17 lb recoil spring, 19 lb mainspring is added along with an extra power firing pin spring to ensure reliable firing. The whole slide and frame is beveled by hand then finished in a custom Smoked Nitride finish.
