The FN Five-Seven is a culmination of the best in ballistics and operational needs for specialized law enforcement and military groups. When introduced, the FN Five Seven assumed its position alongside the PS90 as a perfect sidearm in close quarters combat, where the target might be using ballistic protection.
 
The high capacity, excellent ballistics of the round and impeccable build quality that FN purchasers have come to expect from the company, combine to make the FN Five-Seven an excellent choice for sport shooters and those looking for a practical home defense pistol, with less risk of over-penetration, but adequate terminal ballistics on multiple hit targets.

The standard configuration of the FN Five Seven comes with three polymer magazines. The FN Five-Seven features a polymer encased slide, riding on a polymer frame gun to help offset the weight of the high capacity magazines when loaded.
