The 457American uses a synthetic stock with ergonomics from the 557 American Synthetic. The 457's billet CNC receiver is nitride finished for corrosion resistance while an 11mm dovetail is milled directly into the receiver. The barrel is threaded in 1/2x28 threads for suppressor use.

The new 457 series now feature a push safety, adjustable trigger and 60 degree bolt rotation, allowing for larger ocular bell diameters with lower rings. The stamped bottom metal is now replaced with a classy 2-piece interlocking system. Additionally the 457 series utilizes the same swappable barrel system and magazines from the 455.
