The Colt Government Series 70 is based off the original M1911 which does not use a passive firing pin safety.

The Government features a series 70 firing system, 5" forged stainless steel barrel, short trigger, spurred hammer, checkered wood grips, Mil-Spec sights and a CNC machined forged stainless slide and frame.
