The Colt Black Army is a faithful reproduction of the WW1 Model 1911 used by countless American servicemen. Using original blueprints, this limited run is a an accurate reproduction of the early  1918 "Black Army", during WW1 production the standard blued finish was changed to almost black hence the "Black Army" name.

This updated Black Armry uses a matte blued finish, Series 70 firing system, original rollmarks, inspector marks, 5" barrel, straight mainspring housing with lanyard loop, WW1 style manual thumb and grip safety, forged knurled slide stop, thumb safety and magazine catch.
