Designed to meet the needs for the Estonia Defence Force, the R20 Rahe Reference Rifle is the civilian version of the issued rifle.

This rifle utilizes the LMT patented MRP(Monolithic Rail Platform), the only true monolithic rail system, milled from a single high-grade aluminum forging and uses two locking bolts to secure the barrel in place. The MRP technology engages the barrel extension at a full 360 degrees and allows for easy barrel removal while minimizing point of impact shift. The MRP platform is capable of accepting compatible barrels with different calibers and lengths.

The MARS R20 Estonia utilizes a gas piston system and the piston assembly can be easily accessed at the gas block for maintenance. The Estonia Reference rifles include a single position piston setting and a bayonet lug. A 2 position piston plug is available for purchase separately.

The updated MARS-L ambidextrous lower receiver features a new Euro Style AXLE 2-stage trigger, winter trigger guard, QD endplate, LMT Gen2 ergonomic pistol grip and Magpul SLK stock. Ambidextrous controls include charging handle, bolt catch/release, magazine catch and safety selector. Includes 2-point sling with QD swivels.

Additionally the key feature of the EURO AXLE trigger is the ability to put the weapon system on safe after dry firing  or after leaving the fire control group in a “hammer up” position.
