The Specialist was originally developed for police departments who seeked a more reliable and durable 1911 pistol. The full-sized Specialist Optics Ready features an optics ready slide and fiber optic front sight and adjustable rear sight. Dan Wesson Optics Ready models will accept DW optic plate adapters for a dedicated optic.

Constructed with a forged stainless steel slide, frame with 1913 rail, 25 LPI checkering, ambidextrous thumb safety and G10 VZ Operator II grips round out this package.
