Warehouse Associate 

Job Overview: RifleGear is one of the fastest-growing firearms retailers. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate familiar and knowledgeable with firearms handling to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently and accurately handling incoming and outgoing shipments, organizing inventory, and maintaining a clean and organized warehouse space. The Warehouse Associate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse and contributing to overall customer satisfaction. We are looking for applicants with experience in modern sporting firearms, handguns, hunting, as well as all related merchandise.

Responsibilities: 

Shipping and Receiving:

  • Receive, inspect, and record incoming shipments. 
  • Verify the accuracy of shipments against packing lists and purchase orders. 
  • Report and document any discrepancies or damages. 
  • Perform quality checks on products to ensure they meet specified standards. 
  • Report and address any quality issues promptly. 
  • Prepare shipments for outbound transportation, ensuring they are securely packed and labeled. 

Inventory Management: 

  •  Organize and maintain inventory within the warehouse.
  • Perform regular inventory audits.
  • Ensure proper labeling and storage of products to facilitate easy retrieval. 

Order Picking and Packing: 

  •  Accurately pick and pack orders according to established procedures. 
  • Prepare shipping labels and ensure proper documentation for outgoing shipments. 
  • Collaborate with the shipping department to schedule and coordinate shipments. 

Warehouse Organization and Cleanliness: 

  •  Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment. 
  • Ensure that aisles and storage areas are free of obstacles and hazards. 
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines. 

Equipment Operation: 

  •  Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, safely and efficiently. 
  • Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment and report any issues. 

Qualifications: 

  •  Firearms enthusiast. 
  • High school diploma or equivalent. 
  • Proven experience in a warehouse or similar role is preferred. 
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks) is an asset. 
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy. 
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills. 
  • Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team. 
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects up to 60lbs 

Working Conditions: 

  •  The position may require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. 
  • Exposure to various environmental conditions such as noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
